October Gallery is delighted to present a unique exhibition of contemporary Masterpieces of Buddhist and Hindu art, which features brush-and-ink drawings by Robert Beer, visionary paintings by John F B Miles and contemporary art by the finest Buddhist and Hindu artists of Nepal’s Kathmandu Valley. The exhibition is drawn from the work and collection of British artist Robert Beer,(born 1947). Beer has studied and practised Tibetan art for more than forty years,and is the author and illustrator of The Encyclopedia of Tibetan Symbols and Motifs. Over the past fifteen years he has been working with the most talented Newar artists of the Kathmandu Valley, supporting and nurturing their skills to assemble a unique and extensive collection of contemporary Tibetan and Newar art.

• Sat 5th May 3pm - The Cosmology of the Outer and Inner Universe according to the Indian and
Tibetan Buddhist Traditions.
• Tue 8th May 6:30pm - Death and Rebirth in the Buddhist Traditions in the light of modern near-death, past life, and spiritual regression studies.
• Fri 18th May 6:30pm – Wrathful Buddhist Deities and their Symbolism, an introduction.
• Sat 26th May 3pm - The Legends of the 84 Mahasiddhas of early Indian Buddhism.
