New York-based singer, songwriter and pianist Jon Regen returns to London’s Pizza Express this week to celebrate his critically acclaimed new album Revolution which features a cast of musical heavyweights including Police guitarist Andy Summers and keyboardist Benmont Tench (Tom Petty), a slew of self-penned songs as well as songs co-written with Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas and renowned UK vocalist David McAlmont. Jon’s forthcoming four London gigs will feature PJ Phillips on bass, John Harris on drums and tracks from Revolution which cleverly blend humour, heartbreak and masterful jazz/pop vocals. On this year’s release, Revolution: “I think it’s the most complete album I’ve ever made,” says Jon. “Musically, lyrically, thematically - it’s the perfect amalgam of where I’ve been, and where I’m headed.”
