In 2012, these partners working together will produce the six-week long UK Salsa Festival (as part of bigdance2012.com) incorporating THE “Single biggest salsa event in the world”

Join us for a World Record Attempt, salsa class or sprinkle some salsa sauce on your nachos as we celebrate the climax of Big Dance week and the Big Dance UK Salsa Festival in true Latino style as part of the cultural delivery for the 2012 London Olympics at the O2, featuring royalty of the UK and World salsa scene.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, lover of Latin music or experienced dancer, we have something for everyone on Sunday 15th July 2012 at the iconic O2.

Join in the fun and:
• Be part of our World Record Attempt and help us to raise funds and awareness for Save the Children and Aspire charities
• Meet, watch and learn from the hottest stars of BBCs Strictly Come Dancing – Kristina Rihanof & Robin Windsor
• Learn to salsa dance in a day at one of our free classes, or take part in one of over 80 Salsa Masterclasses
• Strut your stuff on our huge dance floor to a top class musical line up including a live concert from from Grammy Award Winning Singer (Sonero) Ray de la Paz
• Dance into the early hours in our after-party featuring performances from Strictly Come Dancing stars and the most famous Salsa team in the World – New York’s Descarga Latina
• Try some sensational Latino food or sip a mojito in the shade of our very own “cabana bar”
• Buy that ultimate pair of dance shoes or the perfect outfit to grace the dancefloor

Break a Record and Help Transform Lives

During late afternoon on Sunday 15th July, join in the fun as we make an attempt at the World Record for the Biggest Salsa Dance which will raise funds and awareness for our two nominated charities Save The Children and Aspire Spinal Injuries. Every ticket sold benefits our charities by £1.

Don’t worry if you’re a novice, we’ll teach you the moves as the world of salsa unites for 5 minutes and, by the end of the day, you too could be a world record holder!

Through its projects and programmes, Aspire offers practical support to the 40,000 people living with a spinal cord injury in the UK so that they can lead fulfilled and independent lives in their homes, with their families, in work places and in leisure time.

Save the Children works in 120 countries, where they save children’s lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential. Save the Children helped 3 million children through their health and hunger work in 2010.

Strictly Come Dancing Stars – Kristina Rihanoff & Robin Windsor

Kristina & Robin will be hosting an autograph and photo session before they join us on stage for the World Record Attempt, following which, we are promised one of the hottest showcases from these latin specialists.
