Head to the Newburgh Quarter in Carnaby on Saturday 2nd June, 12pm until 4pm, for a shopping and eating extravaganza. A spectacular Diamond Jubilee cake designed, lovingly baked and sculptured by world famous cake specialists Choccywoccydoodah, will be cut for everyone to enjoy a slice at 3pm outside their new emporium at the junction of Newburgh Street and Foubert’s Place. Live music is courtesy of rockabilly band Carmen Ghia and her Hotrods who will perform on the bandstand on Ganton Street and join in with the jive dancing from 12 noon. Shoppers can enjoy complimentary Summer Cocktails as well as free strawberries and cream from the outdoor tricycles.

Lomography will be hosting a Jubilee themed Lomowalk taking in St James Park and Buckingham Palace before arriving at the Newburgh Quarter Street Party. Call 020 7434 1466 to reserve your place

Check out the latest paparazzi style images of the Royal Family by famous photographer Alison Jackson at her pop-up exhibition at 2 Newburgh Street and head to 34 Marshall Street to the ‘Rock and Rule’ pop up showcasing jubilee inspired fashion t-shirts.

Carnaby is flying the flag for the jubilee in style with large scale statement pieces. A huge deconstructed union flag covered in thousands of metallic red, white and blue shimmer discs is suspended in the centre of Carnaby Street. The famous giant plug and socket on Ganton Street has a union flag and 25 red, white and blue LED tubes. The world famous ‘Welcome to Carnaby Street’ arches are covered in union flag print and 520m of bunting is zigzagged throughout the area, bringing a total of 1562 flags to Carnaby.
