Campfire presents… Queen of the Creatives, member of the D&AD Executive and Ambassador for White Pencil and Dare Creative Director, Laura Jordan Bambach will be wiuth us for an illuminating talk on digital inspiration, world peace and possibly taxidermy – not to mention an inspiring Peace One Day art exhibition Campfire is all about the art of storytelling, and in Laura Jordan Bambach, we are privileged to have a master. From her work on the infamous early nineties‘geekgirl’ hyperzine, Laura has travelled the world working on some of the biggest brands, from Levi’s® to Barclays to Virgin Atlantic, winning a plethora of awards in the process.

Voted one of the 30 under 30 leaders in IT by industry leaders, Laura also lectures on experiential/digitally-connected art and the cultural implications of digital society (and in the midst of this somehow found the time to become a trained taxidermist). If you have any interest in the creative industry, you’d have to have fluff for brains to miss it. Just watch the pre-Campfire video to see why.
As well as being co-founder and Director of She Says – an international volunteer organisation to encourage more women to take up digital creative careers, Laura is also ambassador of the D&AD initiative, White Pencil, a competition to find a creative idea that will change the world for the better.

The ditto doors will feature the evocative shortlist of student White Pencil entries to promote Peace One Day, a campaign to bring a worldwide day of ceasefire on 21 September 2012 as part of the Global Truce 2012 campaign. If achieved, it will be the largest global reduction of violence ever recorded on one day – and the largest ever gathering of individuals in the name of peace. www.whitepencil.org
So join Laura and ditto in celebrating all things amicable and digital, with a room full of interested and interesting people, and a few bottles of wine.

Join us at 7pm, Thursday 21st June, at ditto’s studio: The Lighthouse
