A hunting ground for lovers of the offbeat, Going for a Song takes place on the first Saturday of every month. Entry is free.
This much-loved market caters to bargain browsers and rummagers of chic thrift. The emphasis is strongly on affordable clothes and quality vintage. Shoppers come to hunt out a new look, whether it’s a pair of shoes, jewellery, LPs, crockery, classic movie posters, paperbacks or funky bric-a-brac.
In July we return with our amazing vintage! Lots of fashion, jewellery, shoes and scarves, plus vinyl, CD’s, and magazines. The emphasis this month is on local first time sellers. Stalls will be predominantly new. A few favourites invited back include Sandy Lu from the Karma Café selling vintage frocks. Plus bookswap and boardgames to enjoy with your pint. And always the chance of hearing a cracking tune crooned out from our ever-ready OPEN MIC.
We are opposite New Cross station and less than ten minutes from London Bridge. The venue serves great-value lunches (hot and cold) and a range of ale!
Think mini music festival, clothes boutique, record shop and jumble. Toss in pub lunch and a pint. Saturday heaven!
