Experience the pageantry and excitement of a medieval joust at Eltham Palace and Gardens, as four dashing mounted knights demonstrate their skills – and the bravery of their horses – in medieval jousting displays where they collide at speeds of up to 40 mph.

This great family day out, which takes place in the stunning grounds of English Heritage’s Art Deco inspired mansion near Greenwich, London, will keep visitors captivated as they enjoy the thrills and spills of the battle and cheer on their favourite knight.

Four courageous knights will put on an explosive show in a thundering battle of bravery, as they compete on horseback in two exciting jousts, breaking wooden lances upon each other at 12.30pm and 3.30pm each day.

There will be plenty on offer to keep the children entertained, including the ‘Knight’s Training School’, and many medieval games. Expect lots of merriment and excitement from the mischievous medieval jester, including an acrobatic show and a fabulous fire finale.
