D&D London’s Cantina Del Ponte at Tower Bridge who has joined forces with Tuscan winemaker, Banfi, for a series of exciting wine tastings. The tastings will take place once a month and will begin with relaxed wine tasting and antipasti from 6pm to 7pm, followed by a hearty Tuscan pasta dinner.

Banfi is one of the big names of Tuscan winemaking. Castello Banfi, located on the southern slopes of Montalcino, is unique not only because of its size (some 7,100 acres) and the fact that it’s made up of a constellation of single vineyards, but also because it’s a newcomer by Italian wine standards and has grown to the estate that it is today in the space of less then 30 years.

Guests at each one of the Banfi tastings will be able to sample four of the estate’s most interesting wines. The wines available will be different at each tasting so guests who develop a taste for Banfi’s wonderful wines can discover something new at each one. Expert commentary will provide a unique insight into the wines. Freshly baked focaccia and homemade bread will be served with classic Italian charcuterie including traditionally cured coppa, guests can also dip into Banfi’s own olive oil, After the tasting, you will then be able to sit down to a hearty Tuscan pasta dish to balance out the drinking!

The roster of wines lined up for the tastings are:
Monday 18th June: Le Rime, Centine Rosso, Belnero, Poggio alle Mura.
Monday 2nd July: Pinot Grigio San Angelo, Centine Rosé, Rosso di Montalcino, Summus.
Monday 6th August: Fontanelle Chardonnay, Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, Brachetto.
Monday 10th September: Centine Rosso, Belnero, Poggio all’Oro, Florus.
Monday 1st October: ‘Taste the Grape’ – Muscat and Sangiovese – Florus and Brunello
