In this affectionate retrospective, Terry Sanderson looks at the life, career and complex personality of one of the greatest entertainers of the 20th century.

As well as being a legendary movie star and cabaret artist, Marlene Dietrich was a war hero and a lover of both men and women. In this show we will see a generous number of clips from her most famus films and then, using archive material, look at her extraordinary and medal-winning war work. Finally there will be a showing, on a big screen and in its entirety, her famous one-woman show with which she toured the world. Recorded in Sweden in 1963, this is Dietrich at her peak. Accompanied by Burt Bacharach and his orchestra.

"A great evening's entertainment. Marlene was a force of nature" - Music Weaver
"What a woman! We all fell instantly in love again with Marlene" - 21st Century Lesbian
