University Gospel Choir of the Year 2012 - The Finals

The choirs have sung and the judges have spoken! The Award winning University Gospel Choir of the Year (UGCY) – the Finals, returns to the heart of London’s West End – the Peacock Theatre for its 2nd annual event bringing together 10 of the top university gospel choirs from across the country. Part of the prestigious Sadler's Wells group, the Peacock theatre has played host to some of the biggest productions to have graced the West End's stage including "Shoes - The Musical" and "Fela". Taking place on 20th July 2012, UGCY promises to be an evening to remember! Boasting the top vocalists and brilliantly talented young people UK universities have to offer, expect a night of great entertainment, inspiration and family fun in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research (Beating Blood Cancers).

And as if that isn’t enough to get you excited, we have top experts from the world of gospel on our judging panel who will be the ultimate deciders of who will win the 2012 competition and take home a recording contract with MVLS music.
