Along the way our friendly guides will tell you stories of the art, culture and mental health history of the local area.

the hidden river of Hackney Brook, the local memorial to Blind Fred, a match seller, and the rich history of non conformism in Hackney!
The walks are fully accessible, free and open to all.
Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water.
The project is also recruiting and training new volunteers to research and help lead walks. CoolTan Arts welcomes volunteers with disabilities, or without disabilities.
Volunteers will get training in First aid, storytelling, mental health first aid, and Walk Leader training. The group meets at various locations in Hackney on a Tuesday 12 noon to 3pm.
