About the event
:
Award-winning coffee roastery and café, Ozone Coffee Roasters (www.ozonecoffee.co.uk) is now hosting monthly ‘cupping’ events for foodies and coffee-lovers, starting from Wednesday 1st August.
The leading artisan coffee company will share their extensive knowledge of the coffee journey from origin to cup, providing a detailed coffee tasting (or ‘cupping’) and a full roastery tour in the 90 minute masterclass.
The classes will take participants on a sensory journey, with an introduction to the subtle nuances and flavour profiles of different coffee single origins and blends and how to identify them, as well as explaining the different stages of the roasting and blending process.
A tour of the coffee roastery and café will also be part of the ‘cupping’ session, led by James Gurr and Lizzie Bain, Co-owners of the London coffee roastery and café, and experts in their specialised field. Ozone use artisan hand-crafted roasting methods and a traditional Probat drum roaster to create sweet, smooth and full-bodied blends with unique varietals that result in balanced, complex and aromatic coffee.
James Gurr will share his knowledge of coffee roasting, and help participants understand the unique characteristics of each single origin bean and the careful harvesting process involved in each variety.
After learning about their own personal flavour preferences during the cupping session, guests will leave the class with a bespoke bag of freshly roasted Ozone coffee beans and advice on how to continue their coffee journey at home.
