Vocal Aspiration

Vocal Aspiration will provide the local community with a fun
and energetic means of expressing their views about the Olympics and Paralympics games and sharing those opinions with the other Olympic Boroughs through vibrant, celebratory and culturally diverse songs about what they think constitutes the Olympic Spirit.

This will be through a series of Olympic borough- based public discussions that will be converted into lyrics and song by five groups (one from each Host borough – Tower Hamlets, Greenwich, Newham, Waltham Forest, and Hackney), the members of which will be selected through borough- based open auditions.

The five groups will each compose and perform 3 songs that capture, celebrate and reflect the cultural diversity, expressiveness, Olympic Spirit and vocal athleticism of their home boroughs.
