The Duke’s Meadows Bandstand, Chiswick, will be bursting with musical performances and activities throughout the day showcasing local talented musicians from classical to hip hop, soloists to big bands. It is a great chance to come and sit along the green by the river and celebrate such a successful London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in true British style.

The Big Dance bus will be stopping at Duke’s Meadow to make you move your feet to the charismatic beats of bhangra, salsa and pop! Try out new ways of dancing at the different workshops for all level and abilities with Fusion leisure services. Fancy your turn in the spotlight? On the day there will be an open mic area for all budding singers’ poets, beat boxers and story tellers and for anyone else who wants to share their talents and passions.

Amongst all the fun there will be a libraries tent for storytelling, drumming and instrument making workshops. If you’re feeling peckish tickle your taste buds with a scrumptious treat from one of the many food stalls and for the adults a cold selection of alcoholic beverages.

Bandstand Marathon is a free event for all the family and people of all ages, come down and join in this fantastic celebration on Sunday 9 September.
