Cake Baking Masterclass

Why does my cake sink in the middle? Why is it dry/dense? And why does my cake have large air bubbles?? These are only some of the questions that home bakers ask themselves when they cut into a newly baked cake. In this class we will help you understand why things go wrong, and more importantly, how to prevent it! This is a Master class where tips and tricks on how to get the perfect moist cake is readily shared.

We will make a pistachio cake which has a delicious buttery and nutty flavour, not to mention the striking green colour! This will be followed up by a carrot cake (I am sure I am not the only one who thinks that carrot cakes are actually healthy??) a moist cake with a zingy cream cheese frosting. Finally, we will finish the day off with a beautiful Sachertorte. This is taking chocolate cake to a whole new level. If that is not going to impress your friends, I don’t know what will!

This is a 4 hour event. You will take home all the treats you made in class.
