artsdepot is proud to present the UK premiere of Ockhamís Razorís Not Until We Are Lost, an atmospheric and immersive piece of physical theatre that unfolds around the audience.
Ockhamís Razor use aerial movement to create atmospheric, exciting physical theatre. Not Until We Are Lost is the companyís second full-length production and follows the sell-out success of The Mill.
The show uses moving sculpture and originally designed aerial structures to create environments which transform around the audience. At times the audience surround the performance, at times the action and stories will revolve around them. Toying with our sense of perspective and gravity, Not Until We Are Lost makes us question how solid, how fixed, the world around us really is.
The show also features live singing from a specially created local choir and an original score by composer Graham Fitkin.
The title comes from the Henry David Thoreau quote "not until we are lost do we begin to find ourselves". Sometimes you need a shift in perspective to find your way.
