To kick off the new series of screenings, Jameson will be hosting a 70s-inspired beach party on ‘Amity Island’ (aka Greenwich Yacht Club) for everyone to enjoy. After wandering up the towpath, guests will see a party taking place on the beach where a camp fire in the sand lights up the shimmering black water and brings their attention to the fishermen out in boats patrolling the shores. After being welcomed to Amity by the Mayor, guests will be able to join in the party, grab a burger from the BBQ and pick up one of the delicious Jameson cocktails being served, but it’s not long before rumours start to circulate in the crowd with several people saying they’ve just seen a Great White.

When beachgoers need a refill they can head up to the beach bar where they will no doubt bump into Quint who will revel in telling everyone grandiose tales of the sea, before kicking off a round of “Show Me the Way to Go Home”. In the next room things are all a little more serious, as a council meeting takes place to decide if the beach should remain open, despite the latest string of attacks.

As guests take their seats for the film, they’ll be able to spot a concerned-looking Chief Brody keeping watch from the jetty, constantly scanning the open water with his shotgun in hand. Guests will also need to keep their eyes peeled for the ominous sight of that sharp fin gliding silently through the water, as the film begins and the illusive shark still remains at large…

As well as treating London films fans to this amazing, open-air event, Jameson will also be screening the film from the digitally re-mastered and fully restored Blu-ray. The Cult Film Club audience will get to experience the film on the big screen in a quality never seen before, with fully restored picture and sound.
