Featuring celebrities Alex James, Sinitta, Kerry Ellis and Blue Peter gardener Chris Collins, the Tree-Athlon will combine a 5k run with a 100m barefoot run/world record attempt (TfC set the official world record last year and are now hoping to better this). There will also be a family friendly festival of live music/dance/food and art. All participants will also be given an exclusive t-shirt specially designed by Markus Lupfer as well as a free UK-native sapling tree to take home and plant.

Blur bassist and cheese-maker Alex James will be starting the 5K race, whilst 80s pop star Sinitta will be leading the warm up and singer Kerry Ellis will be running the 5k. As well as the sporting support there will also be a children's art competition judged by London illustrator Margot Bowman and Blue Peter gardener Chris Collins. The family festival will incorporate live music from the VW Campervan stage, children’s games, bird box-making, a golden face painting caravan, hula hooping, stilt walkers and nature themed arts and crafts.
