The House of Secrets is an in house extra-ordinary site specific performance about sex trafficking, taking place in Stratford.

As a ticket holder, you will be sent a secret location meeting point near Stratford tube station, and guided round a residential house in a promenade performance. Different actresses and actors will portray the lives of traffickers and women trafficked into the UK in different rooms of the house, such through as physical dance, interactive theatre, one to one performances, and more. The work has been developed to raise awareness about the issue by engaging the audience, and bringing them into the heart of a world which usually exists behind closed doors.

There are 6 performance times available. The performance will start following the journey of one girl being sold by traffickers to a nearby, safe residential location, where the rest of the performance will take place. No explicit actions will take place during the performances.

ONE OF THE MOST MOVING AND CRAZY THEATRE EXPERIENCES I'VE EVER HAD...situated in a secret location you get led to a small house hidden away in central Cambridge where you enter a brothel, and get given the most incredible stories. I saw this show a year ago and cannot wait to see it again - highly reccommended! - Izzy Maxwell Watts (from The Junction, Cambridge)

"A realistic, insightful performance depicting the true horrors experienced by the innocent victims of sexual exploitation. It brought tears to my eyes." - Rachael Smith (ACTFORJUSTICE Co-ordinator)

"I’ve never visited a brothel before and was shocked by the close-up and personal portrayal of innocent lives torn apart by sexual abuse. Revealing, eye-opening and impactful." Kieron Treacy, Anglia Ruskin University

'No matter how much or little one knows about human trafficking, there is nothing to prepare you for 'The House of Secrets'! The portrayal of the story of women who have been trafficked left a lasting impact on me. It was realistic, interactive and thought provoking.' - Olinka Gould, member of Cambridge Act for Justice (supported by national anti-trafficking organisation, Hope for Justice)
