The Stockwell Festival

The Stockwell Festival is a proud landmark pop up event within the local community which is not only a one day affair, but a year-long love of all things Stockwell.

There will be 3 stages, Cabaret Tent, Food Court, Inflatable Village, Interactive Art, Free Children’s entertainment, South Lambeth Market, vintage stalls, Pop up Pub, Pedal go Carts, Community organisations marquee, infants funfair and much more!

This year Local Events venue & Pub - The Cavendish Arms has been appointed by the Stockwell Partnership and Friends of Larkhall Park to organise and curate the festival on the themes of Peace & Cohesion.

What you can expect at the Festival:

*FOOD COURT: South London's finest eateries and street food vendors will be serving brunch, lunch & dinner from 11.45am – 6ish

*SOUTH LAMBETH MARKET: It's popular stall holders will be pitching up and selling a whole array of crafts, vintage fashions, gifts, artisan cakes and pastries, meats, fruit and veg, breads and cheeses, flowers and much more.

*THE CAVENDISH ARMS POP UP PUB: Popular events venue and local pub Land lady Shirley-Jane will be serving you Wines, Lagers, Ciders, specialist Teas & Coffee and fruit cocktails. Hourly performances from Tam the Pub Organist.

*PERFORMACE QUARTER: Local performers ranging from break dancers, rappers, traditional Portuguese Folclore dancing troupes, to belly dancers and even Zumba & Swing workshops. All hosted by MC’s Too Many T’s.

*THE CAVENDISH ARMS PRESENTS STAGE: Experience the musical highlights of what goes on in the Ballroom at the Cavendish Arms with a festival showcase of some London’s best emerging Bands. Hosted by Barmaid & Comic Sikisa 'Twix' Bostwick-Barnes.

*THE PEACE STAGE: Inspirational music from upbeat Choir groups to pop artists, featuring some South London favourites with a guest Host TBA.

*CABARET TENT: Discover the hidden side of the Cavendish Arms entertainment rosta in this over 18’s only tent hosted by popular comics Gemma Beagley & Paul Langton. Shows will include a Burlesque workshop, The Best of Comedy Virgins, Improv sketch shows and stand up comedy.

*VAMOS UNIR O LITTLE PORTUGAL Á GRANDE STOCKWELL MARQUEE: A highlight of the local Portuguese organisations brought to you with the cohesion of Montepio Bank.

*COMMUNITY & CHARITY ZONE: Local and National Charity and Community organisations are brought together within this Village Fete style Marquee. You can expect games, storytelling, badge making, bird feeder making, face painting and much more.

*FOR THE KIDS: The Children will be spoilt this year (as always) with an INFLATEBALE VILLAGE, INFANTS FUNFAIR, PEDAL CARS, TEA CUPS, FREE CHILDRENS ENTERTAINERS, FREE HOURLY SHOWS, FREE CRAFTS WORKSHOPS and much much more.

*INTERACTIVE ART SHOW: Art4Space will be producing a huge interactive and audience participation memory wall, which everyone who attends the festival is invited to document their thoughts.

*WALK AROUND ENTERTAINMENT: Keep an eye out for Giulia Buvoli’s peace characters, The infamous Pineapple Lady, Children’s performers, Magicians and Buskers!

*TENNIS COURTS OPENING FROM THE LOCAL MP. The long awaited opening of the brand new tennis courts coincide the Stockwell Festival. Come and meet local MP – Kate Hoey!!
