Insight meditation practice (also known as vi-passana or mindfulness) is a training of attention that wakes us up of our conditioned patterns and reveals the nature of reality; reveals our basic goodness.

The practice of meditation reminds us who we really are. It allows us to relax peacefully, be happy with no reason and love with no boundaries. Meditation helps us remember what really matters, so that we live fully, love fully and be fully present for our lives.
The half-day retreat will be held in silence and includes:

Guided sitting and walking meditations
Guided meditations on loving kindness and compassion
A talk on insight practices and related themes

The retreat is suitable for beginners as well as practitioners who would like to deepen their meditation practice.

comments from previous participants:
“I’ve been meditating most mornings and so far it seems to be a different experience every time. I still don’t really understand what a regular practice can bring but I will keep working on it to see where it takes me.”
“I have been practising last week almost every day although it’s been very hard for me. I know there is something there. I don’t know what it is but I feel it. Many thanks for your support in and after the class. It’s great to be receiving such support.”

“Thank you Adva for teaching so well the classes. I find them very interesting and useful. Thank you again for your encouragement and insightful words.”

Adva has been practicing meditation for 17 years, of which, she dedicated two years to on-going intensive silent meditation retreats while living in Buddhist monasteries in Nepal and Burma.

Over the past few years Adva has been teaching vi-passana, metta and mindfulness based stress management (MBSM) courses to adult and children. She teaches mindfulness to refugees and asylum seekers and takes part in training teachers and therapists who wants to apply mindfulness tools in their lines of work.
