The London Chinatown Chinese Association will be hosting a special Stage Show on 30th September (Sunday) to celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. Everyone from the community will be welcomed to join the performance on stage and showcase the best new talents in Chinatown.

Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important festivals in the Chinese calendar. The celebrations will include an exciting live show under the Chinese archway. The LCCA will be working with BCTV, a voluntary media project for Chinese youth, to produce the show. They hope to encourage the younger generation to get involved, bringing new ideas into the show. Chinatown will be decorated with colourful lanterns and there will also be stalls with Chinese arts and crafts as well as Chinese cooking demonstration.

With more and more British Chinese coming to the forefront of the British society, the Mid-autumn Festival celebration will be a great opportunity to further engaging the Chinese community with the wider society. The LCCA would like to support the young generation by providing a platform for them to showcase their talents. Everyone will be invited to join in the festivities and we are looking forward to seeing an exciting stage show with traditional performances mixing new and innovative ideas.

The iconic archway shared top billing during the Olympics with other key landmarks in London, such as the Big Ben and the London Eye. It will be a great experience for the audience as well as the performers to celebrate Moon Festival together under the magnificent archway.
