Eat-Japan invites you to inject some new flavours into Christmas 2012. Japanese food and drink professionals will be on hand at HYPER JAPAN 2012 Christmas in the Eat-Japan area to serve up a host of tasty foods and give expert guidance and all the inspiration you need for parties, presents, stocking fillers, and extra special dinners with an Japanese twist.

Here's a sneak preview of some of the epicurian attractions lined up for the November event:

Discover Exciting Party Food with a Japanese Twist!

Japas, Japanese Style Tapas by Atsuko Ikeda: Atsuko Ikeda, who presented the highly popular 'Japanese style dishes at home' demonstration at HYPER JAPAN 2012 Spring, will be returning for the Christmas event. This time around, she will be demonstrating how to prepare her signature Japas recipes, including soba rolls and homemade dressing, dips made with Japanese ingredients, and quick and easy bite sized nibbles, showcasing sophisticated presentation and ideas with a Japanese twist. Liven up tired old finger food with Atsuko's innovative ideas!

Japanese Cocktails by Natsuki Kikuya: Head Sake Sommelier of Roka Restaurant Natsuki Kikuya will be demonstrating some unique Japanese inspired cocktails which can be easily whipped up at home with a few simple ingredients. At HYPER JAPAN 2012 Christmas, Natsuki will be using her talents to show visitors how to make cocktails for any social occasion, from aperitifs, dinner drinks, and desert pairings, to after dinner digestifs.

Chocolate Blended with Japanese Flavours by William Curley: William Curley , the acclaimed London chocolatier, will be making his debut at HYPER JAPAN this November, showcasing his masterpiece creation- chocolates expertly blended with Japanese ingredients. By incorporating flavours such as toasted sesame, Japanese black vinegar, and apricot & wasabi into traditionally made chocolates, William succeeds in creating a truly unique gourmet experience. A taste sensation not to be missed!

Sample Different Kinds of Sake and Discover the Perfect Christmas Present!

Eat-Japan Sake Experience 2012: In recent years, sake has become increasingly popular in the UK. However, for all the British people with an interest in sake, there are probably many more who don't fully understand it. The Eat-Japan Sake Experience is a Japanese sake consumer event unparalleled in scale. In addition to increasing awareness, the Sake Experience will give participants the opportunity to sample diverse selection of drinks, from full bodied premium sake, to aged, unpasteurized and sparkling varieties, learning about the different temperatures and ways in which sake can be enjoyed. Visitors can also meet sake brewers, attend mini-seminars from a sake sommelier, and participate in polls and prize draws. All sakes on offer for sampling can be purchased by attendees at the event, perhaps as a unique Christmas present for someone else, or as a very special gift to themselves!
