Casablanca: The Gin Joint Cut is a lovingly disrespectful homage to one of the classic films of all time.

A ‘superb multi-tasking cast’ whisk you back to Morocco 1941. Casablanca has some of the most iconic scenes and best lines ever written, so why not play it again? But this time in a tiny gin joint, with three actors. Morag Fullarton’s fast paced distillation will have you raise a Bogart-style eyebrow, shed a Bergman-like tear and drown out the Nazis with a rousing chorus of the Marseillaise.

This fast-paced, action packed comedy, written and directed by award-winning director Morag Fullarton is a cleverly constructed tribute to the film. It stars the comic actor, Gavin Mitchell impersonating
Humphrey Bogart playing Rick Blaine, alongside the amazing cast of Clare Waugh and Jimmy Chisholm. With a wonderful, yet simple set design by the award-winning Kenny Miller, the show has already received 5 star reviews for the play’s premiere at Glasgow’s Oran Mor in 2010 as part of A Play, A Pie & A Pint series; and for its runs at the Tron Theatre and Edinburgh Fringe in 2011.
