Lahd Gallery is delighted to present to you the England born Moroccan artist Wadia Boutaba in a Moroccan Art Feast. Colours and motifs galore will be on show, “full of colour”- the name she specifically uses to refer to her paintings to depict her roots and represent the diversity and uniqueness of the Moroccan culture, as a way of illustrating the richness of her culture.

Wadia draws on her childhood experiences in the UK, she seeks to represent her Moroccan roots through a cultural dialogue as she constantly faces the challenges of having two identities. Her art reflects the dichotomy of such experiences such as family holidays and childhood memories while connecting to her Moroccan roots.

Wadia believes that art can provide a bridge between people and cultures and seeks to do so through her splendid use of colours and tones.
