Fleet Street Carol Service at St Bride's Church

Christmas at St. Bride’s is always a special time with a feast of good music in a wonderful setting. Come and join us for any of our Christmas services and be uplifted. The combination of the candle-lit beauty of the church, the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree, the galaxy of carol services and the warmth of mulled wine and mince pies are the prelude to our own Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, Midnight Mass, and the Christmas Day morning service, which are a fitting climax to the season. We have a lively church for the Crib service, full of unruly shepherds, kings and angels - always a lovely occasion. The Christmas tree is splendid, thanks to the generosity of Unilever, and the music is of a very high standard, thanks to Director of Music Robert Jones, and the Choir. When everything comes together during such a busy season, St. Bride’s is seen at its welcoming and elegant best, and then, before we know it, we have turned the corner into a new year.
