Bluewater Winter Wonderland

Bluewater’s Winter Wonderland has opened its doors for eight weeks of festive fun for all the family. The magic comes to life from Friday 16th November until 13th January 2013, promising a dazzling outing for kids of all ages!

Held in the unique new events venue Glow, Bluewater’s Winter Wonderland will deliver a world of winter fun, with a stunning ice rink, a 40-metre snow slide and FREE Santa’s Grotto, all set within a beautiful festive wonderland with snow scenes, magical lights and giant toy characters.

Enjoy the thrill of a turn on the ice at the beautiful real Ice Rink. Forget the grey English weather and enjoy the stunning snowy skyline, but with the added warmth and comfort of being indoors! For an added sprinkling of festive magic, prepare to be wowed by the enchanting snow fall as you skate beneath the stars to your favourite Christmas songs – making this a fairy-tale skating experience you’ll never forget!

Of course, no Winter Wonderland would be complete without a visit to Santa’s Grotto! Father Christmas and his helpers will be hard at work in their Toy Workshop, ready to meet visitors all the way up until Christmas Eve. Santa’s moved his workshop to Kent this Christmas season; he will be there in his charming log cabin with his trusty elves, surrounded by delightful toys and waiting for your visit! Look out for the smoking chimney – you can’t miss it - and be sure to spot the wonderful working toy train set that Santa’s specially created! After meeting Santa and having their photo taken, the children will also be given a present to take home and put under the tree.

Why not pay a visit to the enchanting 4D Cinema after your skate? Showing the heart-warming festive tale Boris and the Winter Forest, it’s a story of Boris the dog trying to find his much-loved teddy bear who becomes lost in the forest on Christmas Eve, only to be helped by a special Christmas friend! With snowfall and the pine-fresh scent of a festive forest, you’ll be transported to a magical world with a treat for all the senses.

There is plenty to entertain the little ones too, including a nine-metre high inflatable ‘Ski Jump’ slide– fast and fun with a lovely soft landing - plus winter carousels, dodgems and a whole host of other festive rides; Bluewater’s Winter Wonderland promises a magical Christmas experience for the whole family to enjoy.
