The Edinburgh Fringe may be over, but some of this year's shows are being put on in London. Check out the Pleasance Theatre, Leicester Square Theatre and Etcetera Theatre to see shows from Idiots of Ants, Delete the Banjax, Doc Brown, Alexis Dubus, Bec Hill, Clever Peter and more.
There are some big names out and about, especially at the Hammersmith Apollo - Dara O'Briain, Micky Flanagan is making the step up (go Micky!), Frankie Boyle, Ross Noble etc. Meanwhile Peter Kay graces us with his presence at the O2 Arena in November.
The Bloomsbury Theatre is looking pretty nifty this autumn, with Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Russell Kane, Greg Davies, Andrew Lawrence, Chris Addison, Lee Nelson and Pete Firman visiting. Ditto Soho Theatre, which welcomes Jon Richardson, Isy Suttie, Alun Cochrane, Alan Carr, Josie Long, Josh Howie and The Boy With Tape On His Face among others.
Lenny Henry and Lee Nelson are doing some slots around the circuit testing new material, LiF isn't allowed to give you the whens and wheres but keep an eye out for unnamed TV stars in the listings. 5 Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes has a comedy club now, and it's in the capable hands of the people who run The Boat Show and Monday Club on the Tattershall Castle. This is a good thing.
Let's not forget the ongoing clubs that don't have any new shiny things to announce - just another season of solid bloody line-ups. Strong showings so far from Amused Moose Soho, Comedy Tree in Wimbledon, Just the Tonic, Comedy Carnival in Clapham and the Banana Cabaret in Balham.
The Horne Section – Alex Horne's magnificent late-night Edinburgh show of guests and mayhem is on at Invisible Dot in Camden. If you go to one show this autumn, make it this one. Talking of Invisible Dot, Tim Key is doing some new material nights solo and with Tom Basden.
The semi-legendary Karaoke Circus (comics doing karaoke!) rolls back into town, and don't hesitate with tickets.
Angelos from Shooting Stars is doing some small work-in-progress dates in November at Pleasance Theatre.
Don't forget Stewart Lee has an enormous run of gigs at the Leicester Square Theatre running from October to December in preparation for the second series of his Comedy Vehicle on BBC2.
