Micky Flanagan’s West End Run Sells Out In Record Time

The All In London Blog

Despite the recession, East End comedian Micky Flanagan’s West End show has been confirmed as the fastest-selling stand-up ticket since Eddie Izzard’s tour over four years ago. Nimax Theatres have confirmed that Micky’s run at the Garrick Theatre has sold quicker than that of any other comedian since 2007. In the last year, the former Billingsgate fish porter Micky Flanagan has exploded onto the comedy circuit. A regular face on TV shows like Mock The Week, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Marriage Ref, Micky is preparing to release his first live DVD this autumn. Micky Flanagan LIVE recounts his working class upbringing, where alphabetti spaghetti was a luxury, and sees Micky explore the hilarity of the unspoken social codes that govern the middle class society he now finds himself in. Taking in its stride the infamous “out, out” conundrum and Micky’s hilarious “chicken children” encounters, Micky Flanagan LIVE is the perfect plain-talking antidote to the ridiculousness of modern-day life. Micky Flanagan LIVE is released on DVD on 14th November 2011. With tickets to his live dates selling out so quickly, the DVD will be a rare opportunity to catch Micky’s fantastic live show.
