She might be dazzling audiences with her Americanisms on The X Factor at the moment, but hard-working Kelly Rowland is also about to release an album. The record gets its UK release on 28 November and is anticipated to head straight to the top of the charts, especially following Kelly's recent success on the TV show here in the UK.
But what can you expect of the album? Will Ms Rowland be breaking out more dance tracks or will she step back to her Destiny's Child days?
The answer is: a bit of both. The singer was very much in the shadows while in Destiny's Child - and let's face it, with bezzie Beyonce Knowles by her side - it was always going to be tough to really get noticed. Well, this is where Kelly shows off her talents - and the girl can sing, there's no doubt about it.
Here I Am features a huge 17 tracks for starters "especially picked" for her UK fans. You'll find a dance floor favourites on there, from Commander to When Love Takes Over with David Guetta. But embracing her Destiny roots, Kelly's also rolling out her velvety vocals and one of the highlights has to be Heaven & Earth, which easily could have been a Destiny's Child hit if they were still together.
All Of The Night is an extremely sexy number, with some fabulous R&B beats to warm up any winter evening. "This is a song to make love to," Kelly announced at her exclusive album playback. "Sensuality plays a new role in my life. But I like it."
Lay It On Me is another ferocious track, which was actually picked as a single in the US. The video sees Kelly dance around with some stunning male dancers - but even then you'll find yourself staring at her instead because she looks a-mazing.
"Here I Am," she declared while explaining how she picked the title. "The whole thing just says, "This is me; this is exactly where I'm at; here I am!"
And here she is. Ms Rowland, the solo artist has finally landed. She certainly 'puts it down' with a mixture of glitzy vocals and fun and feisty girlie numbers that act as the perfect soundtrack for getting ready for a night out; only two tracks might make you press the 'skip' button. This is a record that is definitely aimed at the ladies, but the boys might just love it too, especially if they are KR fans.
