Nadine Who?... and a dog called Shoe is a year in the life of Nadine and her Doberman Shoe. It is an insight into life in west London. They meet the locals in beautiful Holland Park, and the characters in Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. They sit and have a coffee, and watch cosmopolitan Queensway with its tourist buzz and Arab influence, then, walk home through trendy Notting Hill Gate. They also see the less beautiful street life with the ‘can people’ of Shepherd’s Bush.
Shoe the Doberman opened a world to Nadine that she would not normally see… This is 1997-the year that made history.
Nadine Hanwell began her acting career at the age of 12. In early adulthood she played Marilyn Hope for 3 years, in the original Crossroads soap. For the last 9 years she has been Director/Producer of Nadine’s Window theatre company.
