As we approach the great 60th anniversary of Her Majesty's service, it's time to start thinking about how YOU will be celebrating the Diamond Jubilee. There will be street parties, special offers, BBQs and some seriously amazing artist performances across London - and today, we're looking at what Putney's Exchange Shopping Centre will be doing to mark the big event.
First off, as the Diamond Jubilee River Pageant takes place on Sunday 3 June, Putney will also be celerbating with a welcoming Jubilee Street Market in Church Square. There'll be local, regional, national and international foods to enjoy on the day - as well as crafts, clothes, jewellery and accessories to peruse. And to keep everyone smiling and having a brilliant time, there will also be plenty of music and entertainment.
Of course, you'll be right by the river too - so you can watch the prestigious Royal party make their way down. Bring your camera - those historical boats will be a sight you'll want to capture!
And then of course, there is this exciting competition that The Exchange Shopping Centre are hosting. It's something you won't want to miss...
The Jewel In The Crown competition
As of Monday 7 May, The Exchange are giving YOU the chance to win a stunning diamond. Yes, a real diamond.
All you have to do to win is find the ornamental Coronation crown that will be on display, on a regal plinth, within the Shopping Centre. When you find it, take a good look - because to win yourself that diamond, you're going to have to guess the number of faux diamonds inside the crown.
The person with the closest answer to the correct number will take away the prize diamond.
The details
As mentioned, it all starts on Monday 7 May - and you will have four months to make your guess. The competition will run through the Diamond Jubilee Pageant and then Olympic Road Races and will finally close on Sunday 9 September.
The practical stuff
If you'll be joining Putney in celebrating this very special time in Britain, then make sure you keep yourself safe. Follow police guidelines on the day, keep valuables at home and don't flash money, cameras or phones when in public. The Exchange Centre car park is a secure place to park and is open seven days a week, with late night shopping on a Thursday.
Above all, enjoy!
