Another sign that the festive season is well underway - London's infamous Natural History museum has announced the opening of its 2012 ice rink.
Tickets for the magical skating experience are now on sale for opening night on Friday 2 November - and will be available to buy until Sunday 6 January 2013, when the rink will close again.
As far as ice rinks go, this one is pretty special. Set in the grounds of the Museum, this is a winter skating paradise - you wouldn't know you're out in the middle of London. This year, it's even more special as Museum bosses have introduced a spectacular Christmas tree, right in the middle. Add that to the atmosphere of twinkling fairy lights, hot chocolates from the Café Bar and a fairground carousel and you really will enjoy the enchanted ambience.
Beginners are welcome, as well as skating pro's. there's even a special rink for younger skaters. There's plenty of room in the 1,000 square metre rink to practise moves or just to hold hands and enjoy a few laps. The new additional Starbucks in the cafe will also be serving delicious hot drinks from Gingerbread Lattes, Pumpkin Spiced Lattes, Toffee Nut Lattes and Peppermint Mochas.
I'm already hankering for a cup, just thinking about it...
