EMBRACE A PROVENÇAL SUMMER WITH TRAFALGAR ROOFTOP'S BLUSH BRUNCH

Love London

Summer might be turning into a bit of a washout (fingers crossed August delivers...) but the Rooftop at The Trafalgar St. James is helping us embrace happier times with its Blush Brunch in partnership with Mirabeau.

Available until the 31st, if you're a fan of pink then this one's for you. Themed around the delicious provençal rosé, you can enjoy a delectation of pink dishes across a delicious three course brunch, accompanied by a chilled glass of rosé or one of their stunning array of specialty cocktails.

The spread includes shared starters of delicate pink maki with shaved vegetables and pink ginger, tuna tartare tacos with mango, sesame seeds and soy dressing, and pink bao buns with chicken karaage. It's easy to assume brunches like this might be a little gimmicky, all looks, but the if the starters were anything to go by we knew we were in for a treat; they were utterly delicious. With a choice of mains including eggs royale, beetroot smoked salmon, brioche and pink hollandaise, pink pancakes with scrambled eggs and chives, glass noodle and tofu salad or a pink cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, we plumped for the latter; tasty enough but not a patch on the starters, nor what was to follow...

A sweet treat of candyfloss arrived at the table before our desserts of a 'floating island' (kind of like an unset meringue...) with vanilla sauce and pink praline and an unbelievable magnum-style yuzu ruby chocolate cheesecake which was to die for. If you're not keen on the three courses, there's a choice of small plates as well, and a host of beverages based around the Mirabeau rosé to accompany them. With rooftop views across London towards the South Bank and the London Eye in the distance, providing the weather's playing ball it's a gorgeous place to spend an afternoon.

Blush Brunch £35 per persom (dessert £5 supplement), available yntil 31st August at The Rooftop at The Trafalgar St. James. Book it online here.
