Hello folks,
Welcome to a new blog by me, Paul Fleckney, the editor of London comedy website London is Funny. Every Monday I will be pointing you in the direction of the week's top comedy in the capital, and every four weeks a full preview of the upcoming month in gigs.
So if you fancy having a laugh and need a little advice, make this your first port of call. Of course, hundreds of listings including the ones below can be found at www.londonisfunny.com, where you can also look specifically for shows in central, north, south, east and west London. Right. Strap in ...!
1) Joke machine Gary Delaney is doing an Edinburgh preview show in Islington. An excellent, old-fashioned comic doing a small gig for just a fiver. (Monday) 2) 99 Club in Leicester Square tonight hosts top comedian-magician Pete Firman, Radio 4 regular Jo Caulfield and Michael Smiley. (Tuesday) 3) Comedy agency Off the Kerb's monthly night in Holborn welcoems the bilious but brilliant Andrew Lawrence, the dapper Ian Moore and comedy giant Greg Davies. (Thursday) 4) The Boat Show at the Tattershall Castle on the Thames has musical comic Rob Deering, Aussie stand-up Yianni and a top secret headliner ... (Friday) 5) The Comedy Store Players in Piccadilly has the peerless Paul Merton lining up this weekend. (Sunday)
That's all for now, and enjoy the show ...
Paul
