Top 5 comedy gigs this week

London's Comedy Blog

Hello everybody,

Here are LondonisFunny.com's top picks for this week:

1. UCLH Cancer Centre comedy fundraiser
Bloomsbury Theatre hosts a fantastic-looking charity show, starring raving storyteller Paul Foot, erudite ranter Robin Ince, the thoroughly well-bred Miles Jupp, rising star Diane Spencer and top comic-magician Pete Firman and special guest. (Tuesday)

2. Suitcase Royale – The Ballad of Backbone Joe
The latest pearler of a show to come to Soho Theatre is this one, a ramshackle storytelling show by Suitcase Royale. Everything they do have a wonderfully rag n bone, lo-fi feel, and the Ballab of Backbone Joe is no exception, with plenty of very funny moments and musical treats too. (All week)

3. Matthew Crosby and David Reed
Two comics normally seen plying their trade in top sketch groups (Pappy's and the Penny Dreadfuls respectively), Crosby and Reed are previewing their 2011 Edinburgh Festival show at Leicester Square Theatre. (Thursday)

4. Dylan Moran
The grumpy Irishman has a new show and three nights at the Hammersmith Apollo to be getting on with. Saturday is the only night with tickets still left. (Saturday)

5.Glenn Wool
In London is Funny's opinion one of the greatest living stand-ups. Wool is an insightful, bright, hard-living, outspoken comic and he has one show only at the Udderbelly on the South Bank. (Saturday)

All these listings, booking and loads of features and recommendations can be found at LondonisFunny.com.

See you next week!
