The London Riots Clean Up Effort

The All In London Blog

Londoners are waking up to a depressing scene this morning as the sun brings light to the devastating results of the actions of a few hundred morons who ran rampage across our city.

The motivations of these mindless idiots is totally irrelevant now, at this stage we need to focus on how to stop the rioting and how best to clean up the mess.

In a typical London style groups of Londoners are getting together, using the same social networking tools used by the rioters, to clean up the streets and businesses devastated over the previous three nights.

If anyone has any spare time or would like to know how they can help please keep an eye on the Riotcleanup twitter account to see if there's anything you can do.

Areas where clean ups are taking place include:

Croydon, Enfield, Peckham, Tottenham, Hackney, Clapham Junction, Camberwell, Camden, Chalk Farm, Lewisham, Bethnal Green, Notting Hill.

We'll try to post as much info as we can on what Londoners can do to help.
