Aerosmith and Stevie Wonder come to Clapham Common
It’s been a while since we’ve seen legends hit the stage at Clapham Common, but it looks like the south London park is back with a bang this year, with both US rockers Aerosmith and the incredible Stevie Wonder headlining the exciting Calling Festival. Aerosmith will be joined by Joe Bonamassa, Walking Papers and Thunder on Saturday 28 June; while Mr Wonder will follow an almighty build-up from Richie Sombora.

Book your tickets at livenation.co.uk and keep your eyes peeled at callingfestival.co.uk for line-up updates.

Brixton pop-up
From Wednesday 4 to Saturday 7 June, 3 Vining Street in Brixton shall be transforming into a fabulous dining experience - with the team behind Basement Gallery and The Wine Parlour teaming up to deliver a delicious five-course meal by chef, Alex Cooper.

The wine on offer will be especially chosen by Chix and Buck founders Chix Chandaria and Dan Roebuck, and the whole experience will set you back a very reasonable £70 per person.

However, there are just 12 places per sitting, so make sure you book ahead.

Square Mile comedy
Head down to the Square Mile from 22 June, and you might just spot a giant inflatable bowler hat, somewhere between St Paul’s Cathedral and the Stock Exchange. It is, in fact, not just a giant bowler hat - but also a pop-up theatre created by the City of London Festival Director, Paul Gudgin.

There’ll be an entire comedy festival taking place inside each day until 17 July, with a host of comedians performing - including the much loved Russell Kane and Satirist Andy Zaltzman. There’ll even be performances for kids - including cabaret, circus acts and serious debates. Book your tickets and come on down.

Drinks on a barge
A pub with a difference! The newly opened City Barge is Chiswick's brand new riverside bar - and with plenty of outside space for summertime drinking, a huge open-plan kitchen and dining room serving top notch meals, it’s proving to be a hit with residents.

For those a bit further afield, it's certainly worth a tube
ride across town to experience the impressive seven local
ales and ciders on offer (these change throughout the week), not to mention Head Chef, Pat Lynch’s, classic English breakfasts.

The main menu is all about the lobster (half or whole) served with garlic
butter, fries and salad - but it’s the mouth-watering soft shell 'crabacado' burger that took my fancy. Everything about it just sounds so right.

Team those up with the especially-created signature cocktail, ‘My Nerves Could Use a Drink’, and enjoy a touch of Grace.
