London's top remote working spots

The All In London Blog

We've all been there... "just how long can I make this latte stretch before the waitress realises I'm aiming to sponge off their wi-fi all day?"

Whether you're in between meetings, "working from home" or one of those lucky buggers who can swan around town all day and still earn a salary... more and more venues and cafes throughout London are getting geared up to accommodate such workers and spaces are being built specifically for this purpose.

We take a look at the six best current remote working cafes:

Central London – Timber Yard
A coffee shop, tea room and meeting room all rolled in to one, is large and spacious, even has bespoke meeting spaces. Great coffee, too.

Central London - Soho Labs
A "co-working incubator", no less! A bright space with big desks and chairs that charges at an hourly, daily or monthly rate. The price includes free coffee and refreshments, cheap printing and even some free mentoring, if you want it.

North London – Drink, Shop & Do
An All In London favourite as an evening venue, DS&D's friendly and relaxed atmosphere is also a great creative environment where people have the opportunity to mix fun activities alongside meetings.

East London – Stories
A great café which attracts a host of freelancers, PRs, bloggers, journos and start-ups. There's a spacious working environment and the staff are great.

West London – Barossa
You'll see more and more remote workers at this friendly cafe... which also has a private summer garden. Top-up your tan AND work? Win-win!

South London – The Peckham Pelican
A South London venue of choice for artists, students and designers, it's an inspiring space with great sofas and a good Wi-Fi connection.
