The Ultimate Sleepover at The Connaught

Say goodbye to pre-holiday woes as The Connaught in Mayfair has launched the ultimate pre-holiday sleepover to ensure early risers get their vacay off to the best start. ‘The Night Before’ package begins the moment guests are collected from their homes by chauffeur driven car armed with the essential 10 point travel check list - talk about service. At the hotel guests are met by their butler who whisks their suitcases away to be pressed and repacked using secret Connaught techniques honed over the years, ensuring the wardrobe arrives spick and span with no travel irons necessary. Guests are then escorted to the legendary temple of relaxation, the Aman Spa, deep in the heart of The Connaught where a series of treatments and rituals ensures the stress of travelling is gently massaged away allowing them to return to their rooms for a light evening supper and early turn down and a good night sleep.

Early next morning ensuring no flights are missed, a gentle wake-up call with soothing cup of morning tea and a destination bound weather forecast, wakes guests who are then tucked into airport bound chauffeur car, complete with take away breakfast and a warm farewell from The Connaught doorman. With rates from £1,060 per night for a Deluxe King Room, the offer is valid until May 2017. www.the-connaught.co.uk

Pimp Your Summer with Puente Romano Marbella’s New Villas

If you’ve still not booked a summer getaway (me neither), the addition of three new deluxe villas to Marbella’s Puente Romano Beach Resort & Spa might sway your decision. Complementing the resort’s recent refurbishment of its facilities and guestrooms, the new villas combine authentic Andalusian design with modern luxury to provide a sumptuous retreat from which to explore the resort’s world-class facilities.

Villa Margarita, La Pereza and the spectacular five bedroom Villa Armonia offer guests details such as outdoor dining areas, jacussis, rain showers outdoor pools, and are all in close proximity to the resort’s nine restaurants, extensive health & leisure facilities (including the tennis and fitness club, one of the most prestigious in Europe). The vision of interior designer, Jean Pierre Martel, La Pereza’s sophisticated design presents Greek marble throughout, blended with soft sand beiges, natural tones and warm greys reminiscent of beach pebbles and shells to reflect the property’s shore-side location. Guests can explore the locality in luxury too, with the use of a Mercedes A-Class. Villa accommodation starts at €6,000 per night. For more information and bookings visit www.puenteromano.com

Sign Up for M Social Singapore

If you’re heading easy in the coming months, the latest addition to Singapore’s skyline is worth adding to your radar. Designed by none other than Philippe Starck, the M Social Singapore is the first of its kind - a new arm from Millennium Hotels and Resorts - and officially opened mid-June, situated along the picturesque Singapore River, overlooking the vibrant Robertson Quay enclave.

The 293 guest rooms, quirkily categorised as The Nice Room, The Nicer Room, The Big Room and The Bigger Room are kitted out with luxurious pashmina throws and deluxe carpets, with neutral hues a contrast to the vibrant communal spaces downstairs. Extra special touches such as high ceilings and left terraces with The Nicer Room certainly make the accommodation seem much more expensive than the rates would suggest; with rooms starting at less than £130 it’s an affordably stylish alternative so some of Singapore’s current accommodation. Singapore’s long been on my radar since my brief visit nine years ago - with accommodation like this on the radar I might have to book that return trip.

Introducing Amastan Paris
The first flagship of the new urban hotel brand, Amastan, this new gem in the heart of the elegant 8th arrondissement brings a younger and livelier offering to one of the most distinguished and cultured neighbourhoods in the world. Inspired by the classic codes of Parisian apartment architecture, design studio NOCC has carefully considered each aspect of the hotel’s interiors and atmosphere in a way that is at once quietly eclectic, comfortable and gently understated.

The 24 cosy rooms, allocated over six floors, also feature the signature blue parquet walls and flooring which provide a subtle contrast to the otherwise elegant and paired down aesthetic. Guestrooms facing the back of the hotel benefit from beautiful garden views, some with their own private furnished balconies, a unique feature in the centre of Paris.
