Kids in London – Princesses and Pirates at Secret Garden Play Café in Kingston

KimT's London for Kids Blog

My kids used to love pottery cafes and they are a great option during the half term school holidays when the weather can be unpredictable.

The Secret Garden Play Café is in Kingston – just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre – and offers pottery decorating and a whole lot more.

As well as the mini soft play area, a new sensory space and other activities (there are various yoga classes), there’s also a café with healthy juices and smoothies. They cater for gluten and dairy free diets – and they provide takeaway boxes too. Birthday parties can be hosted.

There’s a Valentine’s Day special where you can paint a heart shaped plate for £10.

And on 16th February there is a Princesses and Pirates Day with arts and crafts (£2.50 to make a tiara or pirate hat), yoga classes, disco dancing games (£1.50) and free pirate and princesses stories. All children dressed up will receive a treat from the treasure chest.

Open Monday to Friday 10am til 5pm and on Sunday until 4pm. There’s a booking system on the web site. http://secretgardenplaycafe.co.uk/
