Kids in London – Barnes Children’s Literature Festival 2017

KimT's London for Kids Blog

Head South of the river on the weekend of 13th and 14th May as various venues on and around Barnes Pond will be hosting events for the Children’s Literary Festival. There will be author talks, workshops, story time and craft sessions as well as music and films.

It’s a great location – there’s a fabulous large pond where you can watch the ducks. And great walks alongside the River Thames. Barnes town centre is full of interesting independent shops and there are lots of café and bars.

Tickets go on sale in mid-March http://www.barneskidslitfest.org/

PS And if you are feeling brave you could schedule a visit at the same time to the nearby Wetland Centre – that’s a really magical day out for kids walking around large expanses of water themed on different types of habitat with lots of birds to look at and nature activities. http://www.wwt.org.uk/wetland-centres/london/
