A Visit To London's Brow Gurus

Love London

I was a relatively late bloomer when it comes to eyebrows, not quite realising until the ripe age of about 26 that, in fact, when done properly they make all the difference to one's face.

While beauty salons are obviously ten a penny in London town, no one quite has the authority on brows like Browhaus. With stores in Singapore, New York, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok and Jakarta, they're taking over the brow world and with three London locations - currently in Covent Garden, Great Queen Street and King's Road - it's only a matter of time before they open the doors to more.

I'm tempted to try out their piece de resistance, the Brow Resurrection, a signature semi-permanent treatment that boasts a more detailed and natural stroke (finer than normal brow embroidery techniques), lasting up to two years. This patented, advanced technique is exclusive to Browhaus and involves five years of dedicated research and development to perfect. A skilful strand by strand design recreates natural lifelike brows whilst long lasting dyes mean the joy never fades away.

I recently popped in for a spot of Browgraphy, the dynamic duo of a Colour Tweak and Brow Shaping, transforming brows with a gentle vegetable dye followed by a thread and tweeze. I have to say I was impressed; I usually just pop to my little local, but will definitely be tempted back to Browhaus after the great job my therapist did. The Neal Street salon may be small but it's perfectly formed; cosy and comfy, quirkily decorated and welcoming, plus being a mere minute from Covent Garden station, ridiculously convenient. I skipped out after mere minutes with perfect brows - and immediately recommended it to all my housemates.
