Fitted with state of the art infrared saunas, the biggest wellness craze across the pond in NYC and LA, Glow Bar features a cafe serving up health focused treats, tonics and a customisable Elixir bar. The space also includes high-end washrooms and a clean boutique featuring natural beauty products that use ingredients such as CBD, to everyday wellness items such as women’s health brand HANX, Bybi and Le Prunier.
Designed in collaboration with innovative design firm Maker Studio, the space itself is described as “California cool meets Millennial pink”. Maker Studios is a female led design firm in London founded by Melanie Richardson formerly of Conrad and Partners, and Lauren Evans of Superfutures.
The news of the opening, follows a successful launch of Glow Bar’s Elixir blends, a range of adaptogenic herbs used in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine both accessible and covatable due to the sleek but fun packaging design.
Commenting on the opening, founder Sasha Sabapathy said ‘The idea of opening a physical space for Glow Bar came about after realizing that there weren’t many places in London that served as an escape from modern living in the city. I wanted to create an environment that promoted a 360 approach to health and wellness in a space that was both relaxed but fun and cool. I find traditional spas to be too stuffy, and most other wellness spaces are quite sports focused. Glow Bar is essentially a space you could come to with a friend to catch up while sitting in a private sauna, or over an Ashwagandha spiked lavender latte. It’s a place where you can find all the coolest natural beauty brands, so that you can amp up your shelfie game without compromising on the ingredients. And it’s a place where women can come together every few weeks to discuss issues in mental, physical and spiritual wellness. It’s our answer to self care in this crazy, digitally obsessed new age.’
