Rise & Run with Westin Hotels & Resorts

Love London

Westin Hotels & Resorts has announced the next event in its Rise & Run monthly running club series, taking place on Tuesday 5th November.

Taking place ahead of National Stress Awareness Day on 6th November, the event will see former banker turned breathwork guru, Stuart Sandeman, coach guests through a 15-minute pre-run breathing masterclass, teaching them how to use their breath to improve energy levels and start the day on the right foot.

Following the friendly 5K run along the Thames, guests will be invited to join Stuart for a rest and recovery breathing session. Drawn from techniques taught at Stuart’s business Breathpod, these exercises will explore how to breathe to reduce stress (physical, mental and emotional) and improve sleep. Guests will also be treated to a delicious and nutritious breakfast, helping set up runners for the day ahead.

The quarterly workshops are hosted in collaboration with experts in wellness and take place in addition to the monthly run club. Launched to celebrate Westin Hotels & Resorts upcoming UK debut with The Westin London City, set to open in 2021, each run begins near the hotel site, giving runners the chance to see the anticipated wellness hotspot evolve.

Building on the brand’s wellbeing expertise and innovative Run Concierges, the Westin Hotels & Resorts Rise & Run monthly runs and tentpole events are designed to make it easier for Londoners to seize the day ahead and start their day on the right foot.

The Westin London City will be a 220-room nature-inspired wellness hotel located on the north bank of the Thames near Queenhithe Dock. Embodying the brand’s Let’s Rise mantra, it will feature an indoor swimming pool, spa and WestinWORKOUT® fitness studio with state-of-the-art TRX® exercise equipment as well as the RunWESTIN™ programme.

Free and open to all abilities, the next five-kilometre Rise & Run running club will take place on Tuesday 5th November at 6:45am. Participants are asked to meet at The Guild of Fine Food, 42 Southwark Street, SE1 1UN, at 6:45am, for a 7:00am start, with the event ending by 8.15am.
