Camden Arts Centre is located on Arkwright Road in Finchley. With the support of the Borough of Camden the Centre has been recently renovated, with some of the Centres artists on the design panel. The result is a functional, light and spacious display area- incorporating many of the original features. Access to the Camden Arts Centre is greatly improve and a lift now make the upper floors more accessible. Outside the Camden Arts Centre is a level terrace garden- a place of contemplation for artist and visitors alike. In the short amount of time that it has been functioning the cafe at the Camden Arts Centre has received almost unanimous acclaim, among the treats is a superb Milanese Musetti made and served to traditional Italian standards. Of course the real reason to visit the Camden Arts Centre is to see the artists and their work. The Centre holds one historical exhibition and several contemporary shows every year. The three Gallery spaces are home to several temporary exhibitions and visitors should contact the Centre in advance for details. The Camden Arts Centre has recently added a dedicated reading room- here visitors will able to read from the expanding archive of reference books. The Centre is easily accessed by the nearby Finchley Underground Station.
