One of the few remaining green open spaces along the riverside, Potters Fields Park lies on the southern side of the Thames between Tower Bridge and City Hall. After a major refurbishment of the Park in 2007, the pedestrianised, grassy area now attracts locals and tourists alike.
The park that was designed by landscape architects Gross Max hosts a variety of different events, from the Thames Festival to Christmas fairs and international cultural events. Potters Fields can be reached via the Queen's Walk footpath or Tooley Street and is worth the visit to enjoy the stunning views across and along the Thames, the open space, herbaceous gardens (created by Piet Oudolf) or to just relax in the seated area surrounded by trees.
