Cargo is an 800 capacity bar, restaurant and live music venue housed under three railway arches and decorated with high tech decor. Their music and selection of food are taken from a mass of global influences. More like a canteen, the restaurant serves a variety of reasonably priced dishes including tapas, falafel and kebabs to name but a few. Outside seating is provided on the pavement.

Cargo’s multipurpose venue combines live bands, DJs, cocktails and a restaurant that serves filling Mediterranean-inspired platters and posh burgers. Not as cutting-edge as it perhaps thinks it is, but they do host up and coming bands as well as dancing till 3am at weekends.

This place has the potential to be really good. The outdoor in particular adds a lot. But several things let it down badly: - £15 is a lot to pay to get in, for what this place is. - Drinks are overpriced. £10 for a single vodka and Boost is a joke. - Most importantly, the door staff are awful. I saw bouncers shoving people hard from behind, making them collide with strangers. I heard bouncers talking with pride about their "anger issues". It really puts a downer on the atmosphere.

I just Love Cargo, it hits the spot every time. always something different going on, best place to catch new bands, DJ's, film nights... really electic. Staff are really friendly and cocktails are lush! They serve food here too, been for lunch and it's actually quite good considering it's only a fiver! Love it.

Went last Thursday based on free entry before 9 mentioned on their web site. When we got there well in time they were demanding the full £8 and didn't give a damn about their false advertising.

Cargo is very variable depending on night, have experiences a lady on stage throwing around an inflatable beach ball and some v good bands. Also good funky house nights.
