The Angelic

At first glance I thought I wouldn't like this place, the menu looks expensive and it was very busy on a Sunday afternoon but after this visit I found out why, because its a great gastro-pub. Yes the food looks expensive but it is worth it and the menu is varied enough to suit my very picky vegetarian friend plus the roasts were great, choice of lamb or beef. We ended up staying late into the evening as the place doesn't close until midnight and they had a DJ on which made a change from other local bars. Have been back a couple of times since and the staff have always been friendly, I even feel comfortable going in there on my own, unusual for a single gal!
