Set in Covent Garden at the heart of London's Theatreland, Circus is an innovative combination of a Pan American restaurant and a West End cocktail bar. Diners are also entertained by the added bonus of quirky yet glamourous bursts of cabaret performance. These perfectly complement the stylish and surreal interior, created by British designer Tom Dixon. Meanwhile in the kitchen, celebrated chef Nik Boik has revived classic American dishes ranging from Mac and Cheese to Beef Short Ribs with a Guava and BBQ glaze. The established cocktail bar team, shake and stir an amazing selection of cocktails; a favourite is the mandarin and Passionfruit Mojito! Circus is open for brunch and dinner, and drinking and dancing until late. Special pre and post-theatre menus are also available. Theatres near to this restaurant include The New London Theatre and The New Ambassador's Theatre. Please note that guests must be over 21 years old. Dress code is smart casual/dressy. If you are looking for an event space, Circus can cater for maximum capacity of 300 with a license until 2am.

Full stomach? Now let's hit the floor...

Circus is a restaurant, bar and cabaret space all in one. Watch the performers while you eat –if you’re seated at the banqueting table you’ll be very close to them indeed. After dinner, take to the makeshift dancefloor.

Chuckle as you chomp

Circus is not for the faint of heart. While the cabaret and burlesque acts are not necessarily that risqué, performers have a tendency to appear very close to your table, or in the case of the main central table, on it. If you’ve always wanted to watch flame-throwers and acrobats while eating gyoza and sushi, this is the perfect spot.

Circus should be a chic and sophisticated bar where you can enjoy a cocktail in a relaxed, modern environment. Sadly, its pretentious and a little bit blah......

The drinks are overpriced and the staff are a little too aloof for my liking.

Its a shame a lot of bars in London seem to have this stuffy, snooty attitude! Not sure about you, but I want somewhere where I can chat with friends, enjoy a drink in swanky surroundings without feeling like a second class citizen for having the nerve to be carrying last season's Hermes! Yawn, yawn, yawn!
